India has become the diabetes capital of the world with one in ten Indians affected. Managing diabetes requires daily medication, often a significant out-of-pocket expense. Branded medicines prescribed by doctors are expensive, while generic alternatives are just as effective. A study of seven diabetic patients comparing branded medicines with SayaCare generics showed striking savings. The average monthly spend on branded medicines was 1770 rupees, while the same medicines from SayaCare cost 826 rupees, a 53 percent saving. Some patients saved as much as 80 percent. SayaCare provides tested, high-quality medicines at lower costs, helping patients manage diabetes effectively without overspending. Branded does not mean better quality medicine can come at half the price.
